About this Nominee

I’m Maegan Harless, the photographer behind Maegan Kylie Photography, a natural-light portrait photography business serving Georgetown, Round Rock, and the greater Austin area.

I’ve always been drawn to the little things....the way someone laughs when they forget they’re being photographed, the way a child reaches for their parent’s hand, the quiet moments between the big ones, and the kind of light that makes an ordinary moment feel a little more magical. That’s what I want my photographs to hold onto.

My approach is natural, relaxed, and a little less traditional. I’m not interested in creating a gallery full of perfectly posed images where everyone looks like they’re waiting for the camera to click. I want you to look like you. I want movement, connection, personality, laughter, and the beautifully imperfect moments that make your story yours.

Whether I’m photographing a family, couple, senior, newborn, maternity session, or a brand, I want the experience to feel just as personal as the photographs themselves. I love helping my clients choose a location, plan out what to wear, feel comfortable in front of the camera, and create something that feels true to them.

At the heart of my work is a simple belief... the best photographs don’t just show you a moment, they make you feel it all over again. Because years from now, I don’t want you to remember what pose you were in, I want you to remember how that moment felt.
