About this Nominee
Shadow Cats Rescue is devoted to improving the lives of abused, abandoned, feral, and special needs cats in Round Rock, Austin, and surrounding areas. Here at Shadow Cats, we believe every cat has the right to safety, comfort, and love, no matter their ailments. Our Sanctuary houses over 50 cats, with over half being feline leukemia positive, and all with complex medical needs. In addition to providing a cage free Sanctuary environment, we also work to provide resources and financial assistance to community cats. Our One Life Fund is a microgrant awarded to Good Samaritans caring for strays, ferals, or otherwise outdoor cats, that have encountered a financial burden in getting them care. We are dedicated to the promotion of cat welfare, and a community-wide understanding of special needs cats, and Trap-Neuter-Return.
